The SD Tide Collective is an independent organization dedicated to supporting UC San Diego scholar-athletes through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. Our mission is to empower student-athletes by providing them with the resources, partnerships, and platforms they need to succeed on and off the court. We work closely with local businesses, alumni, and fans to build a sustainable model that helps the Tritons compete at the highest level. The SD Tide Collective is not affiliated with or operated by UC San Diego.
We are proud to partner with UC San Diego Basketball, but the Collective operates independently to ensure flexibility and compliance in providing NIL opportunities.
Your membership directly supports UC San Diego basketball athletes through NIL partnerships, appearances, charitable work, and community engagement — not scholarships or facilities. Every dollar helps players grow on and off the court.
SD Tide is not a 501(c)(3) at this time. Contributions are not tax-deductible but are considered payments toward membership experiences and services provided.

UC San Diego Men’s Basketball is on the rise — competing fiercely in Division I and building a foundation for long-term success. However, as college athletics continue to change rapidly, the financial landscape presents serious challenges. Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities have become essential to recruiting and retaining top-tier talent, and schools that can’t provide meaningful NIL support will quickly fall behind. To keep pace and remain competitive, UC San Diego needs outside support—and that’s where the SD Tide Collective comes in.
The SD Tide Collective was created to meet this challenge head-on by providing NIL opportunities for UC San Diego basketball scholar-athletes. We are committed to helping the program attract and retain the kind of student-athletes who can compete at the highest level and represent our community with pride.
